Interesting how tobacco smoke aromas are perceived by non-smokers and by women. Many men who smoke cigars or pipes usually enjoy both. Smoking either or both is most enjoyable indoors.  I would venture to say that those guys and even some non smoking men would agree that the aroma is manly and appealing in a pleasant way.  Most women have difficulty tolerating the very same aromas save the sweetest vanilla pipe tobacco which the majority of pipe smoking men do not gravitate towards.  Just very interesting to me at least....

Gentlemen,

I've been reading the comments regarding women, cars and smoking. To add my bit, while I don't smoke in the car (just not my thing with a pipe), my significant other loves the smell of my pipe in the house.

She's not so fond of my cigars but tolerates them (as I do her cigarettes), so out of respect, I smoke my cigars on the patio when weather permits. In fact, I tend to smoke the pipe more in the cooler months and cigars more in the warmer.

I enjoyed a Padron 1964 last night. It was a great smoke!

Eh, my car is basically the family car as it is bigger.

Regardless: "Either the wife wears the pants, or she leaves with half of them" - Me.

I smoke cigars. I smoke mostly at the golf course. I smoke in my car every so often. On rare occasions I smoke in my house while I watch a game or a golf tourney. The fact that I am considerate of my wife does not make me unmanly. I don't need to be an inconsiderate boob in order to feel like a man.

If you smoke a cigar, you will need a lighter and a pair of balls.

Jon: Sad commentary....

Any man who tells you he wears the pants in the family will lie to you about other things as well. - Unknown

Hey Matt: Your wife needs her own car. Travel together in her's, but smoke like a man in your's. Wives may not like cigars but they love the man they married. If you are a man who likes a cigar you are entitled to your pleasure in your vehicle.  Too many men are insecure about their manhood and too many women attempt to manipulate them.  I believe it is important in a marriage for a man to assert himself.

I like your opinion Martin. Unfortunately, my wife does not share it.
