Comment by Liam S. on October 30, 2012 at 9:24am If you submit a digital scan to the same standards set for other digital images, why does it matter how it was captured?
Comment by Ian Wilson on October 30, 2012 at 9:15am Liam, it is all just to save money. there is far less expense in handling all the digital submissions than if there were analog submissions.
Comment by Liam S. on October 30, 2012 at 12:45am For the first time since they started hosting it in 1969, the Nikon Photo Contest International (NPCI) - now renamed just NPC, is not accepting scans of film photographs. Only digital entries (including digital MF and digital LF).
This is a bit annoying, and troubling - but also funny that their lead judge is a photographer who mostly shoots BW film with a medium format camera. He wouldn't be able to enter the contest he is judging.
WTF.

I'm going to try and become a better photographer. I have a nikon c3300, just a point and shoot. Any tips for becoming better?
