I always forget about the Activity monitor! It might help when I'm playing WoW and get those slow-downs!
I just wish I could replace my video card myself... The Old Republic (beta, via Boot Camp, unfortunately) is amazing!

I've got an early 2010 MacBook Pro 13". Came with Snow Leopard installed. I upgraded to Lion and ever since then I haven't had any problems. My 2006 iMac is still running on Tiger. I haven't upgraded that since my mother has been using it since her PC crapped out on her.

Has anybody else had a problem with Lion slowing down their machine? I have a late 2006 20" iMac. 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo with 4 GB RAM. Tiger was nice, Leopard was even nicer, Snow Leopard turned my machine into a crazy speed machine. I upgraded to Lion a couple weeks after they released it. Over time it has made my Mac super slow. Have any of you experienced the same thing?

Hi all! I got my own first laptop (macbook 13") in 2009 for school and I love it! I have been largely an Apple fan since I first saw the abilities of Mac OSX compared to another OS which shall not be named... Owning a Mac has just made the love stronger.

A new member of AoM, I have always been a Mac person. In our house we have PowerBook G4, E-Mac 24", Airport Extreme, iPod, iPhone 4, and an iPad (Christmas gift from my wife). I love using them all!

Fridge chalkboard and magnets
Hi there folks! I'm trying to attach a chalkboard to the fridge in my house. It's galvanized steel sheet metal painted with chalkboard paint. The thing is, it's either too heavy or "slippery." I bought 100 magnets where each one can hold up 2.5 pounds. I put on several dozen magnets and this relatively light piece of metal just slides down the fridge.
