Hello fellow Coloradoans.

I've lived here almost all of my life.  A "discussion" I often have with my wife is the validity of my claim to being a Colorado native.  You see, I was born on an army base on the East Coast.  My argument is that my parents were Colorado residents at the time, and we were all merely displaced thanks to the Vietnam War.

I take pride in my state, and I will claim my status as a native to the day I die!

I'm planning on moving to Boulder in February or so, from Galveston, TX. Mostly just to get away from Home Safe Home; Boulder won as the "place to move" due to a number of factors, not the least being that the friend who argued it's case is now my girlfriend, and resides there.

I'm also visiting there for the first time next month. Anything I need to make sure and see/do while there?
Anyone have any hot job hookups?

I am new to AOM and would like to say hello to all my local AOM members here in wonderful Colorado. I would also like to invite you to check out a great organization for men here in the Denver area. We are Live Or Die, a group of men that seek to bring back the sense of adventure and "wildness" that many of us are missing in our daily lives. Please check out our website at www.toliveordie.org We are currently looking for new members, you can also participate in our events as a guest if you aren't ready to sign up with us. We have some great events planned this year including paintball, skydiving, and a hunting trip.

"Confused why the backpack isn't professional enough, esp for a business casual environment. I can understand if you prefer one over the other, but unless you are in a suit every day and going to court, I wouldn't bother with such a…"

"What's your hangup with it?  Looks like a fine briefcase.  The low price would concern me about the quality ... but it's marked down from $499.  And, the reviews look really strong. JB"

Business casual laptop bag

After an evening of searching, it looks like this topic hasn't been covered in a few years and most of the links from those threads are dead. So, I'd appreciate some input on this topic.I've been rocking the black laptop backpack for the past several years and figured that it was time to upgrade to something a little more professional. The criteria that I have are:1. Within the range of $200 or less2. Preferably brown leather (real leather, not the cheap PU stuff)3. Will hold a roughly 15"…See More

Jack Bauer replied to Paul MacAlindin's discussion "I like guns" in the group The Great Debate
"That's complete horseshit.  We ARE NOT CLOSE to "the most violent country in the world".  The U.S. has 4.3 murders per 100K residents.  Honduras has 90.  Venezuela has 53.  South Africa has 31. By…"

Paul MacAlindin replied to Paul MacAlindin's discussion "I like guns" in the group The Great Debate
"From a British perspective, it's important for me to watch the debate for a while and see various points of view before weighing in. It's certainly easy to see America as the most violent country in the world, domestically and…"

Steve Dallas replied to VH's discussion What's your workout?
"Think of everything you could do for each major muscle group. Back, Shoulders, Chest, Triceps, Biceps, legs, etc. I just keep cycling through different ones of them each time I go, keeping a journal(on my phone) of the weights I use.…"
