Since mid-summer I have been wearing these Haix Airpower 100's to work. I work a 7-Day Tour, 12hrs a shift.  A major problem I have with boots is heat...My feet get too warm and sweat and ruin my boots weeks after purchasing...My Haix boots have Sunreflect, which reflects the heat and the boots themselves are extra breathable, they still smell relatively new. They will take a polish, but working on a mine site, there is zero use in polishing them, especially in the winter where sand/salt are concerned. Off duty, I wear a pair of steel-toed boots similar to those Redwings in Dave's post.

Just gotta show off the new boots I got while in Oklahoma last week . . . .

The brand is Red Wing; the style is 2231.

they were new Timothy , but thew were made by a company that has been making them for over 100 years here in Australia , the bomber was made by lostworlds out of NY , thanks for the compliment , l treasure the craftsmanship that has gone into them .

Somebody kick this John Lastingbone jerk out of the group for sending spam advertisements to group members. Don't we get enough of this crap without someone joining a group to add to their mailing list?

US manufactured, or US branded?  They are different.

Justin, for example, offers a very good value line of boots.  But, the value priced ones are usually made in China.  (And they're owned by Berkshire Hathaway, last time I checked)

I've discovered great value, also, in a brand called CEBU.  It's a Mexican brand, made in Mexico.  I picked up a pair of their basic work wellingtons, and they're very comfortable.
