Exactly what it says, Jose. The aim is to become a better man. What exactly that means to you is largely determined by Day 1- Define your Core Values. Once you know the kind of man you want to be, what you value, you can do the rest of hte days in a mindset of living up to those values. Good luck on your journey!

Hey Liam. I just started the 30 days also so lets keep each other moving and on track. Which day are you actually on. I can play catch up if you are ahead of me.

Greetings all, I stumbled across the "30 days to a better man" post by accident when looking up information on shaving with a straight razor (got sick of buying disposables and cartridges and electrics don't work worth a crud on me). Anyway, I started reading several of the days, and was impressed. So as of today, I am starting the challenge. I'm unemployed at the moment so I might as well use this time to better myself as a person.

Hello all. I just started the 30 Days a little while ago, and I have to admit it's made a difference in my outlook already. Anyone else have an 'ah-ha' moment like that?

To Daniel-
I agree, the mentor one has been the hardest so far. Although (luckily) I have some strong males in my life I'd like to learn from, I haven't been able to muster up the courage to approach them about it. Any tips for that, from anyone?

I'm having trouble with some of these I have to admit. Particularly finsing a mentor. I don't really know of anyone well enough who is suitable.

Shined those dress shoes up. It was really relaxing just shining them because they needed them. usually I have some event or something but yesterday it was just to do it. Couple comments. First before you start shining your shoes, take an old toothbrush and clean out that little rim where the sole is sewed on. It makes a huge difference having that clean. The other suggestion I have is take the time and pride to look at the condition of your shoes. Trim any stray threads off with a pair of fingernail clippers, stuff like that. Check the shoe laces. People will probably never notice a stray thread hanging from your shoe, but if you go to that detail anyone that looks at your shoes will notice the effort you put into looking your best. It will also extend the life of your shoes by fixing problems when they are small instead of waiting till they grow bigger. Thanks for the tips it was fun.
