N.U.T.s are more specific than core values. Core values are things like "health" or "family". NUTS are much more specific. They're things that you'll do no matter what. To give you an example, here are a few of mine:
1) I write everyday. No matter what.
2) I get outside and get my body moving on a daily basis come rain or shine.
3) I won't take a job just because it pays well.
4) My wife is my first priority.
5) My word is my bond.
I wanted to really think about these before writing them down.
1) I will not compromise my faith in Jesus Christ.
2) I will not give in to my addictions.
3) My wife is my definition of beauty, always and forever.
4) I will exercise regularly
5) I will lead my family and make decisions
6) Family will always come before the job.
Mine always come down to respect and discipline. Two issues that I have struggled with repeatedly in my life, which is probably why I've been a miserable bastard to live with for a long time.
1) I respect and cherish my wife above everything else.
2) I do not compromise who I am to become popular or appear successful to others.
3) I live within my means - always.
4) I will not tolerate anyone disrespecting me.
5) I do not indulge my addictions.
6) I spend time with my male friends weekly.
7) I dedicate time to improving myself mentally, physically and spiritually every week
8) I honour my talent as a musician by spending at least three hours a week in practice.
1. I provide for and protect my family.
2. I work out a minimum of three times a week no matter what (five hours a week on average)
3. Fear does not keep me from taking risks.
4. I box regularly even though my wife does not like it
5. I will act like a man and do manly things despite what others think or say
6. Creating wealth is one of the things that I do.
7. I will continually strive to improve my knowledge and continue on the path to wisdom.
8. I continually work to become more self reliant
