I think something really interesting occurred to me. I completed the first task on Day 1 (the day before yesterday), but yesterday I didn't get time to do Day 2 task, which was my bad and lack of control my time. Today I was out with a friend and I noticed my shoes were not shining (it was interesting that I didn't notice it until today), and it does not look good. Back home I thought I'd made up Day 2 task and surprisingly it is "Shine your shoes"!

It's late today so I will have my shoes shone tomorrow. And I realized one of the difficult features regarding this 30-day training is that keeping the pace, one task each day. A good cultivation of persistence. I will try not to miss the "Today's task" in future.

Yesterday I completed Day 2: Shine Your Shoes.  I a pair of brown leather dress shoes and a par of black leather work boots.  I shined both pair to a beautiful glossy finish. Hadn't ever shined my work boots before, and I must say it's something I am going to start doing regularly.  Really digged the end result.

I just began my personal values assessment and considering that I have been on this planet for over a half a century and this is the very first time I have ever actually wrote about my thoughts and feelings I am realizing how difficult it is.

Day 2: Shoe Shining

I picked up all of the items from Walmart for about 10 bucks. It took me about half an hour to shine a pair, but I'm pleased with the end result.

Day 1:

1. Achievement

2. Fitness

3. Growth

4. Discipline

5. Freedom

Did this one yesterday, but had to postpone the post due to my pending membership. Glad to have found this site and the 30 day challenge. I enjoy things like this.

Day 1: Virtues

Self-Responsibility

Kindness

Hard-Working

Self-Control

Happiness

All of these are virtues that I feel I should strive to reach, yet thus far in life I have failed to do so. Mabey writing them down will help me, or at least help me dictate my actions in a better manner than I have in the past.

Shoes shined for Day 2 mostly because I have uniform inspection tomorrow but nonetheless...shined.

Are we failing at spreading the Word?

Are we failing at spreading the Word? One of the things I believe to be happening is a very small but very vocal minority is changing the way the country (USA) thinks and acts. What might be considered as biblically right is in flux and the backbone of who we were is being shifted, curved and warped into some distorted image of our former self. "In God we Trust", is printed on our money, “ Do you swear to tell the truth…"(hand on the Bible), homosexuality is being discussed in the Boy Scouts, no…See More
