I tell my wife this all the time, and I think she might actually be seeing my point of view here, one can never have too many flash lights.

Of course this very concept can be exagerated because have 3,258.00 flashlights (or pretty much any one item) is obviously too many... BUT, my point is simply that there are certain things that having more than you think one person should need is a good thing in certain regards.

To clarify, when you need a flashlight, it is usually not available, or inconvenient to find (which is funny since you often need a flashlight to find the flashlight).

So in my house, I have flashlights stored in almost every place imaginable. All the bedrooms have two. The garage, pantry, under the sink in the bathroom, the dopp kit, in EACH of my suitcases, both vehicles (I even hid one in the spare tire compartment of my wife's vehicle, can never be too safe when it comes to the wife.... maybe a little overboard, but I will always have one when needed and when they are needed, nothing else will do. It can often be a matter of safety.

So with that, I leave the table open: What can you never have enough of? And why if you care to explain

Platypi.

And l thought l was the only one that hid torches all over the place !

Swords, knives, Guns(they should come in pairs), anything "green", books, and any other sufficiently manly item.

I'm with Liam; can't have enough socks!

Athletic socks, thick hiking socks, wool socks, plain black/brown/gray dress socks, patterned socks, argyle socks, etc.

My grandpa is the same way, but for some reason my dad was never as obsessed...

Money. Pretty self-explanatory.

Books, especially for book-lovers. When a few hours of free time hit, instead of playing video games and/or eating, reading a book is a wise choice. And it's great when you have a nice selection to choose from.

Tools. Saves having to run down to the hardware store every time you have a project.

My brother would say knives, but he has an inhuman obsession with them, so I wouldn't agree right away.

That's all I can think of right now.

comebacks

you are..

Guns.  Protection if needed, food getter if needed.

Also just plain entertaining.

Condoms

Books and knives.  I see these items are on many peoples lists.  It must be true...

books

flashlights

socks

Baileys Irish Cream

Pens/pencils

Post-its

Knives

As a pretty heavy reader I would say books, but only on my kindle.  I've moved way beyond a pratical amount of physical books for my apartment space.

My Experience with PIT Training

So I just got back from PIT training this past weekend.Wow.Some really beautiful work done with some wonderful men.  It amazes me how I can step into these groups of men and have different standards, viewpoints, and stories and love them like brothers.  I truly feel blessed to have these challenging and growing experiences.I had been going to an i group for a while now and so these processes weren't exactly new but discussing them and understanding them on an intellectual level was really…See More
