What do you think? How to improve the self-esteem and appear determined? (pratical advices) A man must be cold or thoughtful?

I would like opinions

Fair enough.  Quiet confidence doesn't cause trouble getting women, though.  Neither does 'mystery'.  "Vain confidence" often beats no-confidence, though.

I'm laughing a bit because I can't seem to tell if you are agreeing with me or what JB, I think you are so I'm going to add your right Vain confidence is better than no confidence, but either way the reality of the vain one is revealed.

I was agreeing for the most part ... except insofar as the question is why chicks pick bad guys over good ones, and I don't think that the 'quietly confident' good guys are the ones that are getting overlooked.

Quietly Confident = Cool. Or. . ."I've thought about what I would do in that situation, and I CAN HANDLE IT." Maybe I just found another motto.

To answer OP on self-esteem, thoughtful/cold it's just way deeper than that.

Not necessarily a plug (and I'd love to get a kick-back) although it is a great e-book David DeAngelo's Double Your Dating

http://www.doubleyourdating.com/catalog/ebook.html

goes in-depth with this stuff. Like HUGE in-depth. As I said field-tested, by myself and others(several friends that have read it). Psychology man it's a trip. . . but you have to be a student. . . for everything. . . job, life, hobby it's endless. $15 = no-brainer. It literally changed my life.

Most "bad boys" represent manliness... for the most part. They don't care to speak their mind and do what they want; they lead the relationship how they want it to go; they are active and interesting. I would suggest reading up on some pick-up by Mystery. He says a lot of things that are true... if you think about it. I don't condone everything; but these guys know what they're talking about. But women want a man that knows what he wants and it seems that the bad boy knows exactly what he wants.

Because nice guys are wet noodles and no women wants a wet noodle.

I don't think that one has to be a wet noodle, to be nice. Nobody likes a doormat, but standing up for something (yourself) doesn't mean being an asshole either.

I agree with you... but it's more likely for a nice guy to be. There is always a happy medium... those are always harder to find though.
