Alright, on behalf of a friend of the family that has a 33 yr old daughter that has had very little luck in finding the right guy, I offered to ask the AOM crew.

The young woman seems to be "normal",   no psycho tendencies, plenty cute enough by my estimation, educated ( with a Masters degree), teaching at a private school, good job, owns a house, family background is good solid middle class with no baggage.  Location is Sacramento area.

Where are all the normal guys? Shes keeps finding mommas boys, wimps, OCD types, bar trolls,  depressed / obsessed weirdos.

After following several discussions here, I realize there are a lot of guys that simply don't know how to approach a woman for a date. It seems most of those are the type of guys that spent more time studying and hitting the books than chasing skirts in school. Maybe you guys were the geeks and nerds, but now you've turned out pretty decent, got you education, maybe a job and a future and are ready to start looking for a serious relationship. Maybe you're just in unfamiliar territory and don't know where to look either. I'm not sure where to tell this gal ( or other women in similar situiations) to be looking.

Somebody give me a list of where she needs to be to meet gentlemen.

Thanks

Your a cynical prick , the question was where are all the men and that's where I see them in my movements , for starters there's an American muscle car wine tour in the California wine region over four days , ya think maybe they can talk about wine , food , venue , politics , traveling and maybe the cars .
In future I won't answer your posts if your a dick

Oh Brian, it's not like you talk to me anyways. It's fun poking you with a stick, you being blobbish and all. I HOPE this doesn't affect our Thursday pajama parties.

I'm with most of the posts above. She could join a sports club, professional organization, churgh group..... Oh hell I don't have a damn clue, I had the same situation before I met my wife who I met at a singles-mingle held by a local radio station. I had to be dragged to the thing or I wouldn't have gone. I tried adult education classes but the only women there were strange or over 80. I got my degrees later in life so meeting women at college would have almost put me in the 'pedophile' category. Meeting women at bars is so hit and miss it isn't funny. So, I guess I'm of no help here.

It seems like the only constant in the equation is her, she needs to stop passing the buck off to the guys that SHE chooses to date. More and more people are shirking responsibility for how their life is turning out and can't except the fact that maybe they need to change and not everyone else. She's thirty-three years old, instead of her pawning the problem off on mom and dad who in turn pass it off to you who then passes it off to a bunch of strangers online. It's none of our business what her love life is like, it's none of your business either for that matter.

This site is big on preserving the culture of previous generations, the traits and characteristics of men like our fathers and grandfathers but you forgo the most important trait that they held higher than all others, dignity. Somethings are best left out of the public eye, whether it's on the internet or Jerry Springer when you invite strangers to share the intimate goings on of your life you're going to get hit with a chair...and look damn foolish doing it.

This site should have personals. There seems to be some fine gentlement here. This site seems to attract good men.

Are you serious? I can see a typical personals ad from here: "Mustached Blowhard seeking lass who knows her place (worked for grandma) in my make-believe world of emulating an antiquated ideal of a 1920's man. Really big on the whole "manliness" bit that fits my stuffy ego, you must be accepting of this. No fatties or liberal Lindas."

She needs to get a hobby that gets her out to meet ups with like minded people.

I met my wife doing historical re-enactment.  I knew my lady for years before we started dating.

When I met my girlfriend I was myself. A crazy Weirdo.... And i met another crazy Weirdo :D...

She just needs to participate in her interest, and activities... IF a guy and She shares same interests, people can meet people like themselfs.

A library can even be the place to find educated manly men.

5 fascinating reasons cockroaches will outlive us all

Ah, cockroaches. The scummy, skittering, pesky little pests that somehow manage to vanish whenever you flick on the bathroom light. Like Mother Nature's little Batmans. Part of what makes them so hard to control is their resiliency, which is something of a biological marvel. Here are five reasons the humble roach will outlive us all:1. They can adapt at a scary-fast rateIn the mid-1980s, exterminators began mixing sugary roach-bait with slow-acting poisons intended to spread and wipe out entire…See More
