I have found that a common factor to well rounded men is a past time which they really enjoy doing, sometimes more than one. A hobby. Personally, I really enjoy reading, but would like something else to do when I don't have access to a book. What do you guys do for hobbies?

Permalink Reply by Cisco Carson on February 7, 2013 at 1:23am That can be said about Dan Cathy with his "Some of my best friends are gays" Photo op. How you see anything I wrote as 'self congratulatory' is beyond me. Now maybe if I invented the non-dairy creamer, you'd have something there.
Permalink Reply by Tim on February 7, 2013 at 11:36pm Cisco, you need to stop chasing windmills. Maybe the guy just had a change of heart. You're giving yourself a heart attack over nothing. Jeez, man, lighten the hell up.
Permalink Reply by Cisco Carson on February 8, 2013 at 12:28am Dude, what the Hell are you talking about? Do you know what the term "Chasing windmills" means? Who's posting links for me to read and then get's bothered when I respond? Thanks for your shitty imput I didn't ask for.
Permalink Reply by Liam S. on February 8, 2013 at 12:36am Besides which, the phrase is "tilting at windmills" - chasing windmills doesn't even make sense.

Permalink Reply by Cisco Carson on February 8, 2013 at 1:35am From Don Quixote. And what's the original saying? "Tilting (jousting) at Windmills."
Permalink Reply by Liam S. on February 8, 2013 at 2:12am I know. The phrase chasing windmills doesn't make sense. That is not what Don Quixote was doing.
That's my point.
Permalink Reply by Cisco Carson on February 8, 2013 at 2:24am I think Ryan was only looking at the pretty pictures. He also thinks the writing on the side of a cereal box is a "novella."
Permalink Reply by Dann Anthony on February 8, 2013 at 8:16am This is a forum on manliness. There is nothing particularly manly about nitpicking. Nor is there anything manly about yapping bitchy comments and ad hominem attacks from behind the safety wall of the Internet.

Take your own advice with bitchy comments and ad hominem attacks from the safety wall of the internet.
Permalink Reply by George Grey on February 6, 2013 at 8:41pm I enjoy ballroom dancing. To me, that's one of my manly hobbies - taking a woman out on the dance floor and seeing how well she can dance. Quickstep, tango, foxtrot, Viennese waltz... you name it, I can probably dance it.
I also enjoy fencing, when I have the time. Unfortunately, I don't get to practise this as much as I'd like to, but I'm trying to find time for it somewhere in my schedule. I don't think that there's a much manlier way of taking on an opponent than with a melee weapon in your hands (other than with no weapon in your hands).
In terms of "manly", I'd say that's about it, although an honorable mention would be to play the piano, which I do solely because I enjoy it.
