2009 saw the worst economic melt down this century, the king of pop died and swine flu turned out to be a big con with drug companies pocketing millions from consumers worry, but what was your biggest high and low of the year?

Biggest high: Starting my own business (Although it scares me how long it took to come up with an answer to that...)
Biggest low: Grandmother passing away
biggest low: having to move away from my apartment / friends / life in New Jersey to live with family in PA (and the following 3 months of hell before moving to California)

biggest high: The daily dress-up theme days we had from August to October at my new job on the kids tv show.
You work for a kids' television show?
Biggest High-Day to day life. I love it. Sounds corny but its true
My biggest low was a double whammy. I got hit by a car while riding my bike in April. Being an idiot, I continued to ride my bike with my minor injuries when I snapped my humerus in half.

The biggest High was getting back on the bike in November.
Biggest low - the first three days of my Army training at Fort Knox, KY.

Biggest high - coming back from Fort Knox and getting to see my home and family.
Biggest low: finding out my dad might have Alzheimers.

Biggest high:...playing baseball with some old friends over the summer.
Biggest Low - having 2 root canals fail at the same time and need extraction (one day before vacation at the beach).
Biggest High - Spending time with my son
High: Attending my first Ohio State game, on opening day, with 3 of my oldest and best friends.

Low: My wife and I deciding to separate
Biggest high: Getting involved with CrossFit (Horribly amazing fitness program, which I found through AoM)
Lowest low: Losing my job, job searching, being poor, and all of that...
Biggest high: girlfriend saying yes when I proposed
Biggest low: Financial struggles
Biggest high: The day I finally defended my masters thesis and passed.
Lowest low: Helping my girlfriend cope with the death of two grandparents and recent discovery of an uncle's pancreatic cancer.

New Poems

A Poem by some one that I knowTake nothing lightlyBy Bjorn FaknamTake nothing lightly. No vain promise give. Hold your honor tightly, In the one life we live.Do not throw trust away, Whether in you or from you. Live up to it today, In everything you do.Look with respect. Follow honor to the letter. Use the courtesy you expect. Nay, treat them better. No matter what gifts you were given, You are never above yourself. By whatever cause you are driven, Put yourself on the back shelf. Those around…See More
