So, what kind of pants are recommended to wear with TEVA sandals? Slacks seem too formal. I'm thinking of a decent pair of jeans, to keep it casual for summer. :)
To be clear, I'm just kidding.
But, on a serious note, here's a photo of my newest sandals, the TEVA Zilch. I had to brag a little bit about getting a good deal.
The TEVA Zilch is a sandal with a 10mm ultra-flexible sole, designed as a minimal shoe for exercise and running. I started barefoot walking/running this year, and it is helping to strengthen my feet. My long term goal is to rebuild my fallen arches. Hopefully these will last longer than my current choice, cheap AquaSocks. And they certainly look better than the other "major brand" choice, the Vibram Five Fingers.
Minimal shoes retail for some ridiculous prices. These list for $80!!! Happily, I found them at my local Ross store, for under $20.
I am actually thinking of wearing them with shorts during summer. (Hey, Texas' summer is 110-120F, every year!) Would this be completely inappropriate, considering the heat?

Permalink Reply by Mike S. on April 21, 2012 at 11:05am If you are going to be rocking TEVAs, then I suggest a tie dye shirt and a bandanna. Also, maybe a hemp necklace.
Permalink Reply by Chuck Knight on April 21, 2012 at 1:17pm Maybe I could make my own necklace. I did macrame, as a child. It's all coming back to me! Whoa, dude, I'm having a freak out!!!
Permalink Reply by Chuck Knight on April 21, 2012 at 2:23pm I guess I forgot to mention. These new sandals are primarily for distance walking and exercise. For comfort, I have some classic ones. Burnt orange vegan Birkenstocks.

Permalink Reply by Ray on April 21, 2012 at 11:07am Just don't wear a Speedo; if you do, make sure you have a big gold necklace to nest in your chest hair to complete the look.
Permalink Reply by Chuck Knight on April 21, 2012 at 1:28pm I can't fit in a Speedo...too small, even with the spandex. And, rural Texas doesn't have many beaches, anyway.
Permalink Reply by Ray on April 21, 2012 at 1:42pm I've never seen any of the beachgoers here pay much mind to whether the Speedo fit or not. Why wear it to the beach? Become the town's eccentric and wear that get-up to the grocery store.
