Can't say I've ever found an ad all that inspirational.  But, there was a memorable Dockers print ad from a few years back ...

Or, there's always "A Manly Day in the Life of Nick Offerman" ... an ad for Nick Offerman's book Paddle Your Own Canoe ...

JB

Great book!

Neither is inherently "manly," but both are inspirational.  One is a tribute ad, the other strictly commercial.

And both are classics.

That Bud commercial is priceless!

Respect.  So important, and unfortunately, so unseen in today's world.

That ad is up there with the Apple 1984 ad. Only shown once (well, twice if you count the midnight show that one TV station did to qualify it for the new year's awards). Classy move by AB.

We have shit adverts in the UK.

I can't stand TV.

Not many good adverts here, but I did see a great advert from Thailand. About a guy giving small, seemingly irrelevant changes as he goes about his day, and eventually those small changes flourish into hapiness for other people around him, which in turn makes him happy. I wish I had the link

Where is "here?"

Wales, U.K

Most of the ads I see are stupid at best. The only manly, better said fatherly ad I ever saw that I remember is the this Thai Life Insurance commercial.

So Long Men's Barbers

In my modest little town of 12,000, which has 22,000+ when college is in session, we have two barbers. One is mostly retired and the other can hardly stand up half a day.The State of Illinois saw to it to regulate barbers and hairdressers. Excuse me... cosmetologists. A man, or woman, wanting to be just a barber cannot. They have to go to cosmetology school. That is an expensive school. But the cosmetology lobbyists saw to it to regulate hair cuts and barbers need licensure and weeks of formal…See More

Any advice for a clogged bathroom sink?

Hey all - The sink in my bathroom clogs from time to time. Usually it's no big deal and I just have to pop off the trap and pull out a hairball or what have you from one of the sections. This time I've popped off all the plumbing underneath to dig in with an auger, but it's not doing anything. A look with the flashlight showed a caked-on, black, gunky mess two or three feet into the drain pipe; the auger won't budge it. In fact, I think I may have closed the clog up even more snaking it in…See More
