Can't say I've ever found an ad all that inspirational.  But, there was a memorable Dockers print ad from a few years back ...

Or, there's always "A Manly Day in the Life of Nick Offerman" ... an ad for Nick Offerman's book Paddle Your Own Canoe ...

JB

Great book!

Neither is inherently "manly," but both are inspirational.  One is a tribute ad, the other strictly commercial.

And both are classics.

That Bud commercial is priceless!

Respect.  So important, and unfortunately, so unseen in today's world.

That ad is up there with the Apple 1984 ad. Only shown once (well, twice if you count the midnight show that one TV station did to qualify it for the new year's awards). Classy move by AB.

We have shit adverts in the UK.

I can't stand TV.

Not many good adverts here, but I did see a great advert from Thailand. About a guy giving small, seemingly irrelevant changes as he goes about his day, and eventually those small changes flourish into hapiness for other people around him, which in turn makes him happy. I wish I had the link

Where is "here?"

Wales, U.K

Most of the ads I see are stupid at best. The only manly, better said fatherly ad I ever saw that I remember is the this Thai Life Insurance commercial.

Getty/Dubay and the fountain pen

Hey all,In an effort to both get my feet wet with fountain pens and to improve my handwriting, I purchased a Lamy Safari (I also have the refillable doohicky and a bottle of Quink) as well as the book "Write Now" by Getty/Dubay.  The book was recommended in this group in an older discussion, that's why I bought it. While my handwriting isn't too bad by most people's standards, I'd like it to be excellent.  I often take notes and when writing as fast as I can, my handwriting quickly becomes hard…See More
