I have a job possibility that pays a decent salary. I got called in for an interview last week, went to the interview and I thought I did very well. I was called yesterday for a second interview today with a district manager. I thought the interview went very well and am confident I will get called in for a third interview with another manager. I am wondering what to expect for a third interview? All these interviews are just giving me anxiety. Is it too early to start celebrating if I get called in for a third interview?

"Is it too early to start celebrating..."
Yes.

As for what to expect well it's an interview so expect an interview. Don't get excited keep in mind that you're being interviewed do further research into the company and ask good questions. Different people have different ways of conducting interviews so it will be a bit different so be ready.

Celebrate a bit - you've made it this far. But obviously, It's not an offer yet. I will say, it is rare to have more than 3 interviews before a decision is made.

As for what to expect - there is too much variety to begin to speculate. Sometimes it's just a last meet and greet with others in a department. Sometimes its a specific clarification or conversation. Sometimes its an offer.

You never know.

*thumbsup* I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I may be showing a serious lack of business acumen, but I'm not used to seeing places need THREE interviews to make a hiring decision---that sounds seriously over-done.  Perhaps it goes with the territory of the field you're in.  Without knowing any more than this, I'd tend to think that if they're having a third interview, it's just to get someone to rubber-stamp what they've already decided.

It has become pretty standard practice (in my business at least) and by no means a sure thing. But by this point, the field is usually down to just 2 or 3 individuals.

I've had a few third interviews most of which were for a high-profile position with the company and the upper level (C-level) managers felt it necessary to conduct their own interviews.

In my company, we only do a third interview if we are trying to get a good read on the cultural fit rather than still evaluating the capabilities. I agree that you must be in the top few candidates at this point and you should be proud of that. A lot of people submitted resumes and didn't even get one interview. Whether you get this job or not, you are better prepared for the next interview as a result of this experience.

A job offer better be what happens. I've never had to deal with a third interview before. You may get a job offer without a third interview.
