I REALLY have to take issue with this.
What is so "unmanly" about wearing a pinkie-ring? Explain this to me, please.
In the old days, a man wearing a ring on his pinkie-finger meant that the ring was a signet-ring. And ONLY a signet-ring. And a signet-ring was something earned through work, and power and authority gained from recognition from that work.
How is that unmanly?
Permalink Reply by Will on February 7, 2013 at 8:19am It isn't the old days any more. Ancient Egyptian men wore makeup; today they'd look like she-males.
Per Wikipedia, the pinky ring has been coopted by several groups I would not identify with, including pimps and grifters.
Associations change. Ancient Roman men used to wear things we'd now call dresses. OTOH kilts are still manly enough... but that could change.
