I've been guilty of it myself much too much. Asking advice or unloading my problems on this forum and many others. While AoM has many helpful and insightful discussions as well, it seems of late that when I log on there's many 'o problem being discussed.
So, to put some light in my life and maybe some ideas for others let's talk about things that make us happy :) While I'm sure many of us agree that sex brings a gentlemen joy, lets keep our focus on activities outside of the bedroom.
I"ll start, I absolutely love heading up north in AZ (where I'm from) and spending the day at a mountain swimming hole. Bringing a packed lunch and going exploring, jumping off cliffs, and just enjoying the company I'm with and surroundings.
I'm also completely content just sitting at home for a couple days playing through a new video game. Love experiencing new stories and the creativity of others.
Thought of another that makes me smile everytime: when my son laughs uncontrollably. At 9 years old it's still infectious
Reading, that first sip of bourbon, the sound of a beer opening, the smell and sounds of spring as you're walking through the woods, and the feeling of laying on the couch with my wife.
Discovering new music brings me lots of joy, Also seeing someone random smile always make me happy
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.
Good quality pipe tobacco, a bag of heroin and a shotgun.
It's been a rough and negative last few weeks for me. I see the light at the end of the tunnel though and am tired of thinking so negatively. I appreciate this thread.
The first sip of quality coffee in the morning, completing a project at work correctly, good conversation with close friends, the way my dog gets so excited to see me when I come home (and all the quirky looks and other hilarious behaviors), my wife smiling, and lastly but definitely not least - when the office is quite in the early morning.
+1 for a quite office in the morning, I feel so much more productive when this is happening
Thanks for all the responses. Let's keep this thing going for a little inspiration. I'm finding lately I'm liking to sit outside with my current book, "The Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft" with a big ol glass of ice tea
