I guess nobody here likes Buffalo Wings.

You may have unrealized expectations in how popular your topics would be -- or how soon people reply to them.  And it is a weekend.

(And, you're right, I despise Buffalo wings.)

I am very popular on other forums and my threads usually have a ton of responses that go on for like 15 pages or more, so I guess I am just not used to this kind of response to my epic postings. :)

I don't see the appeal of them either....all that work for a bit of sauced meat.

Work? Well it's not like all I eat is wings, but the sauced meat you so eloquently referenced is tasty as hell.

Franks, the original is good.  I've also had garlic spice (excellent and suicidal hot).  There are others that I like but the original is what I keep going back to.

I tend to go with Classic Mild Buffalo wings, ESPECIALLY if I'm ordering from some place I've never eaten at that isn't a chain. If I know the joint, such as B-Dub's, I'll try something different each time I go in. I've lost quite a bit of tolerance for hot foods in recent years, so my explorations are limited due to my weaker palate. That said, classic buffalo wings are really hard to beat, and I eat them regularly.

Side note: I did have some amazing sweet Thai bbq wings at Thai-D recently that proved to be MUCH better than expected.

There's nothing like making your own sauce, man. For example: http://www.eatthelove.com/2014/01/mole-chicken/

I've had wings at Duff's, Anchor Bar, many many different bars all over the Buffalo area, as well as Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, and other places far away from Buffalo.  It's hard to say which are the best because depending on the level of inebriation crap wings could taste 'amazing'.  I'm in New Orleans area now and you can't find the original wings even though they say they are the 'original recipe'.  But BWW has some pretty tasty sauces as does Hooters.

I love Buffalo wings, and the Frank's original is pretty good stuff. I like a LOT of sauce on mine. I haven't quite found the perfect ratio of butter to sauce for me, but I like mine on the hotter side, say, a 6.5 on a scale of one to ten. One day I'll make my own hot sauce, but not just yet. I have also found/created a few different sauces for wings that I really like now and then as well.

Wings are so delicious because of the high ratio of skin and fat to meat as compared to the breast. Buffalo Wild Wings is good. I usually stick to the Caribbean jerk and mango habanero flavors when I'm there (rarely these days). When I make them at home, my coating is a mixture of Sriracha and toasted sesame oil, which is also a great dip for Chinese dumplings.
