What are all your fitness goals for this summer? Trying any new workout plans?

I've started lifting a lot this year and so far have gained a little over 10lbs. My goal is to gain as much weight as possible this summer, hopefully in the range of 7-10lbs, to finally break the 150 mark. I've been doing a split workout but at home getting to the gym isn't as easy so I'm switching back to a full body plan, 3x week

Here's my plan: (reps are M, W, F)

Clean & Press: 4x8, 3x8, 2x8

Squat: 2x12, 1x12, 3x12

Rows: 4x8, 3x8, 2x8

Bench: 3x5, 4x5, 5x5

Deadlift: 1x10, 1x10, 2x10

Pullups: 30, 50, 30

Dips: 30, 40, 30

Curl: 4x8, 3x8, 2x8

I tried to pick 2-3 lifts to do more with each day and 2-3 to do less with so that I don't overwork anything.

What about you guys?

Funny, all my injuries last year were outside the gym too.

Tore a pec changing oil? You are a monster.

You can have my name, lol.

Carl,

I don't think tearing a pec changing oil qualifies me as a monster, maybe an old wimp but not a monster.  I ended up having to use a hammer to get the drain plug out especially after the tear.  Next time I'll go straight to the hammer (who says you can't drive a screw with a hammer anyways?).

How's everyone doing sticking to their plans? I did great the first month and a half, kept track of what I lifted each time so I could work on improving it. I got deadlift up to 225, bench to 165, rows to 125 (weight for rep, not sure on max). The last couple weeks I got busy working two jobs and didn't make it to the gym. Starting this monday I'm getting back into it.

How about you?

Went fine until my health suffered. Now and for a long time, all serious exercises are postponed. Make sure you enjoy your training.

It's going good.  I'm on an off week this week and start back on Monday with a different routine.  I got up to 60 on dumbell benches, 180 on incline and decline bench.  I'm proud of getting to 250 on lat pulls (suprised the hell out of one of the 'bigger guys' when he wanted to take off some weight for me but I told him no and added 50 more lbs).  I've also started hitting the abs more (and better), which I have to work into the next round's workout as it's an every day routine.

It is hard somedays to even get to the gym but I don't let that stop me.

I've been bad.  Very bad.  Barely gone to the gym, at all...what a waste.

But, yesterday, I started back up again.  Started with 20 minutes on the elliptical (got to start somewhere) and will work my way up to weights by next week, if I can manage to stick to it, this time.  And, I intend to stick to it.

Made a post on FB about it, to my friends, so if I stop THIS time, I'll lose face with my real life friends.

You got it, no face. d:)

Real helpful, Ricky-boy...

Sorry, I couldn't help it.
