So I'm about to embark on a 20th anniversary trip with my lovely wife and soul mate and we'll be doing a lot of flying.  I decided to acquire a kindle to facilitate weight- and space-efficient weight reading while traveling.  While I've downloaded a few books that I've wanted to read for quite some time, I'm in need of input for good reads for men for the summer!

Gimme your best ideas for great summer reads whilst travieling!

Cool, I'll have to check out Enders Game.  Haven't read much sci-fi since I went through all the classic stuff (Asimov, Arthur C. Clark, Bradbury, etc).  Thanks. guys.

I'm digging my way through Morris's 3 volume biography of Theodore Roosevelt.

Otherwise, let's go Romantic or really old-school manly...Captains Courageous, Hornblower and the Hotspur, Rifleman Dodd, Treasure Island.  Just for quick and dirty fun, anything by Louis L'Amour, Robert B. Parker, Dashiell Hammett, or Raymond Chandler.

I save my heavier reading for the Fall and Winter.

For adventure I love Patrick O'Brien's Aubrey–Maturin series of books (Master & Commander the movie is based on these). Oh and like I said with my comment about Ender's Game going all hollywood PC. In M&C they changed the "enemy" from America (in the book it was during the 1812 war time) to French (so American viewers can cheer for the British heroes).

Awesome ideas, thanks guys!
