This happened some time ago... but I still think is worth telling.

Saturday 8:04 some years ago

I was going to attend to class, a guy I will call Mr random asked me for the hour, so I pulled up the cell phone and I showed. Right after that he asked if I was from a band of whatever. then he asked for some coins for a "bus ride home". So just the moment I took the wallet off my pocket, Mr Random snatches it from my hand, he tried to run away But I locked him down with my arms, I got him by the neck (he was much taller and agile than me) I pushed him against a steel door I yelled him "GIVE ME MY WALLET" about 3 times Mr random threw the wallet to the floor and said "there it is" so I picked it up all was there except for 213 uruguayan pesos so, me chubby, short-legged and with a backpack on I chased for around 3 blocks.... of course, I never catched him.

I had to report it to the local police station.. after geiving the description of Mr Random, the officer asked me: "Was he Homosexual?"  I was dumbfounded, still I said no.

So I went where I was meant to go, my teacher asked me what happened to me, Why did I came one hour late, me, like not caring bout much I said I was mugged. the silence was so loud.

after asking the obviopus question I resumed class.

Now I'm more careful to stranger and to which I aim my generosity at.

I wonder what you would have done them moment the Mr random snatches your wallet.

Didn't your mother warn you about talking to strangers?

Thank you Captain Obvious?

I've never been mugged before at the moment and only happened that time.

I hope you learned your lesson.

Be certain of that.

Good for you.  Way to not be a victim.   You did good.

Some time before that my brother got voilently robbed and so my mother. So i said to myself "When it happens to me, I'll fight back"

In other occasions I've played the game "I'm not worth your time" by showing them my empty wallet, it also helped the fact that I wasn't wearing nice clothes at the moment.

I also had a nice amount of money in my pants's pocket as I was on my way to make a payment... so that was close

So which was it?

I call mugging when someone takes somethimg from me.....

and that didnt happened, those asshats didnt bothered me after showing my empty wallet.

JB

I would liked to have a gun at the moment.......

Great video!!

Gotta love Capt. Kirk.

Sounds more akin to a purse snatching than a mugging. "mugging" implies you either took an ass whippin' or came very near it. This poof just snatched your wallet out of your hands and tried to run for it.

Aint everyone cut out for a life of crime.

Taking credit for community projects?

Brethren,Please give me your thoughts on this issue.I'm the outside events coordinator for my lodge. Yearly I chair charity fundraisers for local nonprofits.I'm also swimming in student loan debt and have recently learned of opportunities through Americorps that, if I were to claim and get signed time sheets for my hours on projects, would qualify me for student loan repayment (approximately $2400.00 for 700 service hours). We advertise our events on the news, radio and online, do mailings and…See More

Tamar Gendler: An Introduction to the Philosophy of Politics and Economics

Tamar Gendler, Department of Philosophy Chair at Yale University, Cognitive ScientistWho gets what and who says so? These two questions underlie and inform every social arrangement from the resolution of schoolyard squabbles to the meta-structure of human societies. They are also the basis of political philosophy. Professor Tamar Gendler uses the work of three titans of the discipline, Thomas Hobbes, John Rawls, and Robert Nozick, as a lens to guide us through the taut debate about the role of…See More
