So I was talking to my girlfriend recently and she told me that when she started playing rugby they gave her a workout that didn't involve using weights. Can anyone tell me what that is?

There are all sorts of body weight and cardio routines on the internet and on AoM.
If you want to understand and/or copy your girlfriend's routine, you should ask her to explain. Men and women have different physiology, however. While her routine is unlikely to adversely affect your general health (The general recommendations for men and women are the same.), it could interfere with any specific fitness goals you have and isn't necessarily good for men rugby players.
