Rosaries as necklaces
I am seeing more and more 'celebrities' and random young people wearing rosaries as necklaces...trying to use them as some kind of fashion statement or jewelry. I am apt to start approaching them to set them straight. This really bothers me. What are your feelings on this topic and has anyone else experienced this trend?

When did you start referring to yourself in the third person?
Every so often I do it as a homage to Navin R. Johnson. "Who is Navin Johnson?"

Haha...I was born a poor black child. Wow, things fell off the tracks here. Scapula = shoulder blade, scapular = Catholic devotional necklace, scalpel = doctors blade. So JonEdanger is right of course. Bottom line: scapulars are meant to be worn, rosaries simply aren't.

Yeah i thin you can even compare them to the beads used by certain shaolin monks. It's really just designed with the loop for practical purposes, not as a clothing accessory.
