I'm considering opening a small business that caters to a gentleman's needs.
What would you like to see at your local gentleman's store?
So far I have the basics, such as cigars and pipes, local brews, shaving and hygiene materials, fragrances, leather goods, watches, knives, perhaps footwear, outdoors equipment, guns, and artwork.
Let me know what you guys think! I'd like to hear from everyone.

Something to consider.

Well worth it, but definitely keep what Native Son said in mind, because it will consume a bit of your time.
It seems your store is suited for AoM.

Which means it is not suited in most places for commercial viability.
This is too many businesses, but it could work really well if...you set it up as a mini man mall and rented space for...

1. barber
2. man store...pipes, shoes, shaving man supplies kind of thing. A few classic suits and rainjackets, hats would be good. Yes some people will go to a tailors, some people to JC penny's but it doens't matter. People buy hats at the rodeo that are too expensive and of poor quality. They expect to get a suit there.
3. Man cave pub. The kind that actually creates community, no T.V.s 20 strangers watching the same T.V. is not a pub. Darts, pool table, card table.
4. Sponsor sports, all the dads will have loyalty and it will draw community, plus you will have loads of kids and mom's who know right where to go for father's day.

Keep in mind that each section needn't be large as all of the ideas work together. Or move next to a barber shop. You need your target market around.
I see someone beat me to it, but I had a thought float into my mind a while back of a Man Mall.

I went so far as to write down some types of stores that could go there:

- Barber
- Arcade (I miss these)
- Pub
- Book store & Lounge
- Boxing Gym & Workout Center (must have indoor driving range and batting cage)
- Clothing Store
- Tobacconist
- Cafe
- Shop selling a miscellany of fine appointments, like pens, watches, wallets , cuff links, etc..
Perhaps a small selection of BBQ/Camping equipment...?
My colleagues and I have actually discussed this sort of venture before. We were going to call it the finer things club. Things we came up with were robes and slippers for while inside the club, a nice fireplace, and one thing that we all wanted was a barber who could shave with a straight blade. I do like the artwork idea.
