Yes, I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum, but I searched in broad terms for this topic and the results were usually "custom" or "shoes" or "suits," etc. I'm just looking for options other than the typical men's clothing stores.
Anyone have any favorite (somewhat inexpensive) online retailers? I'm looking for dress shirts, pants, ties, etc.
Thanks.

How much do I like them? Well, right now, I'm wearing one of my favorite outfits: LandsEnd slacks, LandsEnd blouse, LandsEnd sweater. The slacks were less than $20. I own 4 pairs in 3 colors. The blouse was less than $10. I own 2 in different colors. The sweater was less than $30. Sadly, I only own 1 of this style, but I own about 6 LandsEnd sweaters total.
You can return/exchange things at most Sears stores, saving on return shipping.

As a rule I don't buy clothes online, the fit really can differ. But it is also a huge pain to go clothes shopping, so I see the attraction.
My two favorites are LLBean and JCrew. Bean has returned to "free" shipping, and JCrew always has specials; buy X amount and the shipping is free.
Depends on your style too, what I like may not be your cup of tea.

Permalink Reply by jameson on October 19, 2011 at 1:35pm Haha, yes, and I take that as a compliment. I've not had much luck with J. Crew except for their outerwear. My hips and legs do not fit well into their pants and the shirts are too tight across my back. I'm not huge by any means, far from it, but J. Crew seems to fit smaller men.
I found dappered.com. Interesting.

I am now running into that problem with my thighs on jeans and chest for shirts...and I have you to thank, lol.
Permalink Reply by jameson on October 19, 2011 at 3:05pm Same here. I tried on a pair of jeans today and couldn't get my thighs through them. Regular ol bootcut is tight but workable; I just want something a little more dressy. I was trying some of the straight leg Levis. No chance.
Permalink Reply by Rick Shelton on June 13, 2012 at 2:01pm Like the boot cut 517 Levis, don't like that they're not made in USA. It's also hard to buy my size in anything. Bought a pair of Tony Lama boots because they're USA.

I don't really go for Lands End or L.L. Bean but I've heard good things about them from various people. I'm a big fan of eBay, but not for shirts and pants (except vintage wool pairs) as it's too much trouble to find stuff that's not very worn. Jackets, suits, shoes, and ties, on the other hand, can be had at some great prices if you look.

One of my favorite retailers is Kohls. They have a broad selection, a lot of their slacks and shirts come in odd numbered sizes (I'm a 33 waist), and they are always something on sale. Plus coupons are available online. I just got a $60 pair of slacks for $16.
