My friend and I took a trip to Europe last summer. We traveled in Switzerland and Italy. We are in college and want to take a once in a lifetime trip (again haha) before we enter the real world.

We have been brainstorming what we would like to do, and have come up with ideas such as touring Austrailia, boating the Amazon, and scuba diving with sharks in South Africa.

Does anyone have any ideas, experiences, and/or advice for us?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Save the money.  You'll need to make it last as long as you can while one employer after another refuses to hire you due to your lack of experience.

All the more reason to get out there and travel. You have the whole rest of your life to work. It will only get harder later. Do it now!
First, ignore the initial bitter response. Obviously you should make whatever prudential calculations about your future are necessary, but if you have the means and aren't neglecting anything, there's no compelling reason not to go.
As for suggestions, here are a couple.
1. Go back to Europe. The UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, etc..
2. Road trip around the U.S.
These are more in line with what you did last summer, and less with what you're thinking of for the next, but I figured I'd throw them out. Really, it depends on what you'd most like to do.

Trip around Australia!

Do this.

I'm sure for most people this would truly be a once in a lifetime sort of thing.

I've always wanted to do that! haha
I have been skydiving and enjoy cliff jumping a lot. (I'm obviously big into adrenaline)

As a young guy I wouldn't recommend Australia, as it is very very very expensive. Have you ever considered visiting country's like the Czech Republic, Poland or Hungary?

ill agree with that! its more expensive to fly to another state than another country...

I have not been to these countries, but my friend has been around most of Europe. That's why we kind of want to try something new, but thank you for the advice on Austrailia. We will definately take that into account.

I say go for it man.  I wanna do something like this.  Before you know it, you'll have a career and kids and a mortgage, etc etc.  I plan on doing something like this before I get to that point.

Diving the Great Barrier Reef.

Boating the Amazon, sure, but per a friend who visited the Amazon, the doc told her:  you *will* get malaria.  The only question is what kind.  (She didn't suffer any illness, so maybe he was wrong.)
Live in a European village for a while, if you can find one, and if you speak the language well enough.
Youth hostel tour of Europe, focusing on art museums and cathedrals.
Himalayas.
What fun!

Nice! Great Barrier Reef, haven't thought about that yet. Thanks, man.
