To all you electronics hobbyists out there...

Have any of you built one of these?

I'm curious to see what kits have worked the best and the best place to get them.  I want to do something a bit more modular so I have freedom with creativity.  Most of the kits I've seen have all the Nixies on a single board.  I'd prefer to have some freedom to place them and space them in different arrangements.  I suppose I could wire leads off of the sockets though and do just that and hide the board in the enclosure.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts...

For such a project, one would consider the purchase of said tubes of a manner individual. The kit would fail in necessity, as transistors bipolar would suffice in the creation of the voltages of necessity for illumination.

"We had 97% in ATL. Were not able to make the drive north to see the full shebang (I got called in on a contrac), but should be able to see the next one in seven years. A couple shots from Little Five Points."

"Thank you, Christian.  Here are the English and the (Google) German translation.  (I am hoping that I was successful in attaching a file to my Word document.  I guess we'll just have to see if it worked.)"

"Yes.  Saw a ring of fire around a black disk.  Supposedly it was the corona, but it was plenty bright. Had so much fun looking thru my 2 pinhole cameras, seeing it on my tablet, and an occasional look thru eclipse glasses."
