Good Evening, gents!

(I'm not sure what time it is in the USA, but on this side of the pond in the UK it's 00:43!)

This coming Thursday I'll be hosting a black-tie pool tournament in my home for myself and my friends before we leave for university.

I'm looking very forward to it. We've sorted out the gameplay, the commentator's are ready, and the competitors are eager.

However, I'm needing ideas for what else to have in the house for entertainment.

Throughout the day, a waiter and waitress will be serving drinks, hot food will be available, there will be live music and also a Nintendo Wii for entertainment.

However, I feel that there needs to be more to keep them entertained.

Has anybody any ideas as to what we could do that people would find fun and entertaining?

Much thanks.

A deck of cards can go a long way at a party. Whether you're playing a casual game with friends, or playing a bit more competitively for money or any sort of prize, I feel that plenty of card games will fit right in with your event.

I could have died while hiking today, don't be stupid like me

I have a cautionary tale for my fellow outdoorsmen out there. I went hiking solo today through some less traveled canyons near where I live. I unknowingly ended up off trail and was aggressively bouldering to get up and around some obstacles, mainly a decent sized waterfall. I kept pushing because I thought this was my route, and the knowledge that I wouldn't need to go down because I was on a loop. Anyway, I finally got up the bulk of it and couldn't find anything that resembled a trail.…See More

The Barbershop

It's just seems natural that Art of Manliness should have a barbershop group.  My intent of this group is to gather and share general thoughts and experiences concerning barbershops. Sir Edmund replied to Bruce Uall's discussion What can we do to Increase Acceptance of Shirtlessness in the group The Shirtless Man
"I was told at a young age that I wasn't good looking enough to go without a shirt, so that made me afraid to be seen shirtless in public places for several years, until a friend of mine helped give me the self confidence to never mind what…"
