This is the continuous cycle of my love life...

Get a girl's number, go on a simple date, date goes well, then awkward texting, she gets shady, I get angry, we stop talking and probably dont get along anymore after that.

I've gotten better at containing my frustrations about simple stuff such as "not texting back", but this cycle is getting annoying.

INSANITY is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. - Albert Einstein

I have reached the point of insanity.

Read the book, I kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris, itll change your life.

It changed mine forever! That book screwed with my mind and led me to break several hearts. I do not recommend adopting its attitudes.

Years ago I had a cousin in the same situation. I bought him a book called " Nice Guys don't get laid" because he refused to listen to anyone. It helped him out.
Don't get me wrong, be a gentleman, but be assertive. Have a plan for the date. Don't ask her what she wants to do. Be polite, open the door, get her coat, her chair, get The Bill. Listen to her and pay attention. If you happen across a douche bag, punch him in the mouth. If the waiter gets the food wrong, Say Something. Take her home and walk her to the door. Give her a hug and a kiss on the neck. Do not stick your tongue in her mouth.
Call her the next week ( think 3 day rule) and ask her out again ( do not initiate email, text, Facebook, blah blah blah). Now is the time to remember what she said and plan the next date.
Just remember, you're a man. Act like a man. Now go grow you a mustache and harden the f¥ck up

What is "shady"?

I'd agree, if texting is a problem, you don't have to do it.  In my experience, which was dating 5 years ago (married now)... I never texted anyone, and never heard anyone say it would be convenient.  OTOH maybe things changed in the past 5 years.
