Morning all

Just a little introduction from myself. I'm 35 yrs old, live in manchester, UK. I lift weights, play a little judo and smoke the odd cuban cigar. I can't remember exactly how i stumbled onto the site but it's fits prettty well with me, being a bit serious and a bit old fashioned. (i'm proud of these things btw)

I'm likely to discuss the above as those are my passions and maybe ask for advice on fatherhood as my missus is expecting our first child in march 2013.

Welcome to the site. Have a son that will be 12 this month. Ask anything you would like and I will try and help. Congrats!!!!

Welcome, Pete, and congratulations on your first child.

Hey Pete welcome to the site.

You do judo? That's cool. I do jiu jitsu. From what I've seen, it isn't too different from it.

Thanks guys. And yes, I will be asking for advice on fatherhood, particularly how you get enough sleep!

Hey Eliabe. Judo and jujitsu are pretty similar but I found I enjoyed judo more and so stuck with it. Do you do bjj or traditional japanese?

You know, I live in Brazil, so they usually do not make that distiction but I'm pretty sure it's BJJ as they mention the Gracies often.

So how much weight are you holding in that picture?

217kg. I've done a couple of strongman comps

Congratulations, and welcome to AoM.
