I was recently browsing through an AoM article about what to carry with you on a date. Since one of the items were mints I was wondering what is a good mint brand. Are there any that have been around for forever and a day?

Certs.  Altoids.  Junior Mints are good ... but they'd melt in your pocket.

Certs! Haven't heard that one in a while.

I think the last time I had Certs in my pocket I'd also just bought some Chiclets.

Does it have to have manly flavors, like motor oil or steak?

I don't know of any mints that have such awesomeness in them.

I bought some bacon flavored mint and some corn dog flavored mints; they both tasted terrible.

Tic-tac's. Also those listerine strips come in cinnamon and even grape now. Smaller package and don't rattle. . . but, your oral hygiene may come into question if you pop 'em all the time. Same with the mints though "Really what is he trying to cover up?"

Tic-Tac, because they're not big.  I just wanted a little mintiness, not a meal.

Certs are pretty big now that I think about it.

I am a Tic-Tac guy.  The right size and just enough flavor to pop one every hour or so.  I always have a pack on my desk and coworkers are always asking for them.

I have been off sugar for so long now that mints are like a narcotic , I have a herb garden at my back door and I might just give a real mint leaf a go .

I wonder if those mint leaves are stronger than actual mints?

Wintergreen Altoids are my favourite.

Greetings from Oregon

I've been visiting the site regularly for about a year now, figured I'd join. Anyhow, I was born and raised in Oregon. Hope to go into law and agriculture- perhaps manage the family farm in the future. I enjoy hunting, fishing, blacksmithing, & collecting books and antiques. Yearn for the old world morals and manners, so I enjoy this site and hope to better myself by it. TonySee More
