The river looks a lot like that of Basel, in Switzerland but I don't think that is it. Nice looking journal. What sewing technique did you use on the signatures?
You're both right! The map is a copy of a 50's era "Touring Club Italiano" map of Rome. While it lacks come modern features as bus routes, its still probably the most clear and legible map available.
I was taking particular note of the shape and position relative to the river of the castle just to the left of the "11". It's the pope's castle and is connected to the Vatican via aqueduct. I saw a show about it on History the other day.

Wow! That looks really nice! I'd like to see what kind of paper you've used (quality/ margins). But from what I see, this is great. Are these for sale , or what? (If they are, then for how much. haha)
