Ok, so, I will NOT buy Levi's again just because of the stupid ad at the top of this page that randomly expands interfering with everything I try to do.

Ad blocker...

Works a treat on many, many websites. And I find Carhartts better wearing than Levi`s anyhow... ;-)

Somebody has to pay for this thing.  Memberships, donations, or ads.  I don't ad-block on AOM.  I figure Brett should get paid for my time here.

Well said, Jack. Men pay for what they use, one way or the other. That said, I think I might be interested if the site offered a paid version without ads. Depending on price etc, of course.

How noble of you, I prefer to read without the ads but supports directly by buying and giving away his books on suitable occasions such as Christmas.

This year, boxed sets can be found under 5 trees. ;-)

It isn't about nobility.  Brett asked a while back if we wouldn't.  I figure I can deal with the mild irritation of ads.

He's done alright by us ... we use his site free-of-charge.  Letting him get paid for it is the least we can do (and never let it be said that we didn't do the least we could do).

Yes, I even bought a pair of those 1000 mile Wolverine boots, after seeing them on this site.

I always look at, and consider, the ads on here, because I know they are supporting this site - and giving Brett & Kate a little income for their big project.

It is my pleasure to support their advertisers. Feel I'm supporting the site.

Then I appologize.

I`m an on and off user and that request have passed me by in an off period. I`ll have to see if I can sort out the exeption conundrum in the ad blocker. I will still be buying books for gifts, though. :-)

I have always liked the 501 button fly jeans.

I like Levi products. You get annoying ads all over the internet. The price of looking at interesting websites.

I will not sit through 60 second video ads though. Won't do it for TV....won't do it for the internet.

Agreed , best feature are the button front , it's time to call it quits when you are drinking and after you have used the head you can no longer do the buttons up .

A good barometer!

I like Levi too. Prefer zipper though.

It's the price of a consumer/consumption based civilization.

But yeah, hate those video ads too. I don't want any ads crammed down my throat; no exceptions.
Ads are fine; it's the annoying ones that expand to half the screen that I don't like. I've left websites repeatedly because of them.
