Hi All,

I'll start with an explanation. I have a job I truly enjoy, however It requires me to work the weekend, overnight (D) shift. As such all of my friends and family are asleep while I am awake. So i pose this question to the hopefully like minded. What are some good, night time hobbies. Please feel free to shout out even the most unusual, strange, and bizzare ideas you can think of. Even if they dont work for me, the ideas could be entertaining. Please keep in mind I live in an urban area and dont really want to wake the neighbors. They are nice but older people and have been good to me over the last 5 years. Thank you and let the ideas flow!

Learn klingon? I know tlhlngan means klingon, but I am not sure about the rest.

Direct translation:  Why not learn Klingon?

But, I admit that the original post was generated by an auto-translator system, so it may not be perfect.

Embrace your inner geek.

Whittling. All you need is a stick and a sharp knife. Though the best wood you have to go buy.

I kinda like the idea of impersonating a child to catch pedophiles on the internet.... On a more serious note however. Most of my hobbies are related to firearms and gold prospecting. Even if you're not into gunsmithing or handloading ammo, leathercraft may interest you. I'm also becoming quite the collector of maps, and using online mapping apps, to find areas for exploring on my days off. Learning anything doesn't hurt at all! Take an online class. The only thing which might prevent you from learning, is knowing it all.

Decorative knot tying!

hmm... I work nights often and I play guitar (acoustic so it's not too loud) once I'm in a room with the door closed others have said that unless they're listening for it they can't hear me.
