How do you successfully manage your multi facated life?

Hi all I have tried many times before to juggle 3 or 4 things in my life. Work, fitness goals, hobby (theater) and a small side income from an online business. Most of the time i come up short. While I figure myself out, can anyone please tell me how you manage your own time while have many things running at the same time?

Priorities and a good time management system.  I prefer Getting Things Done as my system.  Some love it, others hate it.  Check it out and give it a shot.

How many hours do you reasonably expect it would take to do everything you're trying to do.  What do you mean by 'theater' as a hobby, are you acting?  I would imagine that takes up a lot of time.  So does the online business.  Do you honestly have enough time to get everything done?  You might not.

If you have enough time then it comes down to priorities.  Do you want to do those things or do you want to watch TV?  If you want to watch TV that's fine, but make that a conscious decision.  Watch the show you want and only that show.  Don't put a show on at 8 and then watch TV until you go to bed.  Maybe you have to change how you do things a bit.  Maybe instead of taking the time to go to the gym you work out at home or go for a run on your lunch hour.

Currently I have work, school, fitness, and in another few weeks I'll be out two or three nights a week playing curling.  It won't be a huge deal because I have a schedule and have cut things out of my life to get those things in.  I'm not going to be watching as much football as I used to because I wanted to pick up an extra night of curling.  That time had to come from somewhere and I picked football.  But even though it's not a huge deal I have to be deliberate about my time.  If I'm taking a break to watch some TV I'm doing that knowing what I have going on.  I know that I'll have other things to do later but it's ok to take a break.

I am interested in the responses to this thread, as I have been struggling with managing my time as well. I haven't been as successful as I want to be, but I have been trying to use evernote (or another app or a notebook) to write to do lists and trying to keep a calender. Basically, I have been trying to plan stuff out and write it down. My problem seems to be doing the things I write down.

A daily planner, which in my case is Outlook.

Day runner / Day planner and CalenGoo App on my phone linked to google calinders.  Once calender for each facet.  Then view them all togeather so you can see when you are over booked.  Beyond that.  Go to bed on time and get a full 8-9 hours of sleep.  You may need to go to bed extra early for a week to see when you naturaly wake up.  At the end of the cycle you will have the time your body needs to be 100% on.  After that you just schedule your day and activities and check them off in the day runner.  The act of checking things off makes you stop and see what is coming for the day and log what you accomplished.

After that it is simply staying on the schedule you set.  If you keep missing something you need to assess if you should reschedule or drop the activity.
