I'm a college student inflamed with passion. I want to be with a girl that I can't be with for a long time. I can't stop worrying about her and whether she might feel the same way about me. I have trouble coping with my subjects. Nothing feels very satisfying. I have trouble focusing on one thing for a long time. Night after night I stay up because I don't feel satisfied and I don't want to end the night and I've got so many things on my mind. I eat way too much junk food because it distracts me. I waste hours on the internet and with games because those also distract me. The idea of living a day with good eating habits and no distractions seems impossible. I want to get in a fight or go out into the wilderness away from everything. It all feels so overwhelming. How can I fix this? Does anyone have any advice for me?

A) Sounds like some spring fever kicking in. Lordy I know about that. So, get out there, indulge your whims

B) Are you involved with any groups/clubs/societies in college? If not, join, even at this point in the semester.

C) Do you have friends there? Get involved with intramural sports. Start a competition at the school gym for muscle gain, weight loss or just percentage improvement on different workouts

D) You are only 18, try out other women, even if just casual dates. Nothing cures infatuation faster then learning that there are actually so many amazing women. And at that age they are more willing to go on dates then ever.

If I may, I've found that the responsible, legal use of firearms in a safe, controlled environment really helps to relieve tension. Again, the key parts of that statement being responsible, legal and safe. Nothing like the smell of cordite to clear the mind.

Read today's blog about Jack London. Live in real life. Make your own life interesting by doing doing doing. Dump the escapism. Once you start to feel like you're living, you probably won't be so clingy to the girl.

I'm proud of you guys for including ERB's Martian series!  But, you should  have included Stephen King's "Gunslinger" series.  Best books I've read in a long time!See More
