Best of luck for your blog. You must focus on content and don't overload it with ads because it may get the readers frustrated and angry. So far so good but make it look professioanl.

Couple questoins for you. Are you doing this just for fun or would you like to try to earn money wit this blog? Even if not today would you like to leave the option to earn open down the road? If so I'd recommend you do wordpress.org and not wordpress.com as you cant run ads on the free version. Also, you should have a domain and not a subdomain ie not ohsosweetlife.wordpress.com but ohsosweetlife.com.

Also, what is the site about? I take its kind of a deep things to think about, enjoy life type blog which is cool but maybe come up with a tag line that gives a better idea what the site is all about as I'm having a hard time figuring it out.

As foryour template. There are tons of cool wrodpress templates out there some of them free. Yours looks very templatish I would recommend getting a different template. Yours also looks somewhat feminine, not knocking that maybe thats what your going for but you are plugging your blog onthe art of manliness so not sure you have the right template if this is your target audience.

Are you on social networking? If so get a branded social networking name on all socialnetworks for your site name. Google social media name checker an you can check availabiolity of usernames across like 100 plus social networks so you cna have consistent branding across all.

Again your not at this point yet but when it comeas to making money if thats what you want to do sign up for adsense as well as affiliate progrtams maybe try to find sum clickbank products to sell.

Have you considereed using blogger instead of wordpress? You dont have to pay for hosting and you can get acustom domain for $10 if you buy thruogh blogger 0.99 cents if you buy directly from godaddy with a promo code scott99. Alot of people knock blogger cuz you dont own the site like you do a custom domain hosted wordpress site however you do own your content and you do own your custom domain.

A few other things...start following other similar blogs to yours, comment on them regularly once you do that contact the blog owners and maybe ask if you can do some guest blogging on their site or if they'd like to do guest blogging on your site. incorporate a youtube channel into your site, maybe make some videos talking about your articles and use them to cross promote since youtube is an easy way to rank in google.
