How's it going, men?  My name's Mike.  I reside in Middletown, RI and work as an IT administrator for U.S. Navy Medicine.  I'm a husband to a beautiful woman, step-father to lovely, little 5 yr old lady, and proud new father to a 3 week old son!  I discovered Art of Manliness over the summer and have found the blog to be an invaluable resource of knowledge.  Finally decided to check out the community and hopefully gain some connections and more manly knowledge!

Cheers!

Hey Mike!,

Welcome to the forum and I hope that you feel comfortable and find a lot of information and support. I'm still new here but so far people have been great with support and care. I'm 19 years old, in the UK at university. Congratulations on your newborn and welcome to art of manliness :)

Hey Michael,

Congrats on the new baby!  I hope to hear more from you on this site in the future.

Hey Michael, best wishes to you and your family. You will, this site is just that resourceful. Welcome

Welcome, Mike!  This is a great blog, and attracts a high-quality set of people.  Hope you enjoy hanging out here.

May I ask what kind of IT work?  I ask because I am also an IT administrator.

I do a mix of things for a Navy outpatient clinic.  Mostly Win2008 admin.  I also handle backup functions, digital radiology software systems, information assurance mitigation, and various other odds and ends.

Welcome. I hope we get acquainted soon.

The Barbershop

It's just seems natural that Art of Manliness should have a barbershop group.  My intent of this group is to gather and share general thoughts and experiences concerning barbershops. Anything from a good barbershop that you have found  to pictures and stories of shops you have visited to discussing anything barbershop.  See More
