Cisco, you seem like you're putting us down.
you see a real joy and fun spirit over there. Here it's still discussing whether libertarians sleep on box spring beds to "where's the best place to hide a knife?" from a week ago. Thank GOD I'm a gay man.
Would it kill you to have a conversation without trying to pick a fight? Nobody gives a damn that you're gay. You'd be more interesting if you were capable of talking about something else, though.
As for the "alien" thing -- you're the one that drew a contrast, not me. I just agreed. Don't proclaim how thankful you are for the differences ... and then have a bitchfit when I'm fine with it.
To be honest, I didn't know it was even necessary to wish anybody but the wife and kids a Happy Valentine's Day. I can't think of the last time I said it to anybody else. Its a couples' holiday, not a public one.
We're celebrating this weekend rather than tonight.

I wonder whether a large percentage of the male population actually thinks about most of the topics presented on AoM, or whether it's just a big echo chamber effect.
Just got flowers for each and every one of my ladies, and on the way home will buy gin and meat.
Doesn't get any better than that.
That sounds nice, Carl. Happy Valentine's Day to you, and Joshua, and all AoMers. :)
Yeah ... had to go shopping for the kids this afternoon. Girls are easy enough ... perfume, jewelry, flowers, etc. Found some Taylor Swift perfume and a necklace for my 8yo girl. That'll do nicely. But, its tougher than you'd think to buy Valentine's gifts for a 5-year-old boy.
Tough? Pfft. All I could hope for on Valentine's day was lots of candy at that age. Like a mini-halloween. Preferably Reese's hearts. Omnomnom.
True. But, candy ain't enough when your sister's getting jewelry and perfume. Ended up getting him a kids digital wristwatch and a movie ... along with the candy.
Bought the wife flowers on Monday at the local florist and had the kids deliver them to mom early. Enjoyed the flowers all week and in peak bloom today. Crab cake dinner and drinks coming up; life is good.
