Hello, my name is Stefan Förch, a 23 year old Dutch guy of Danish/Norwegian descent. I've been reading AoM for some months now, and I've often felt the need to join in, and where possible, offer my experiences. I'm currently living and studying in Wageningen, just started my Spatial Planning MSc. In my scarce spare time, I enjoy fishing, rugby, or just the company of friends, cigars and Scotch.

I've come here to familiarize myself with the demands of and means for being a man in this current society, where sometimes my caveman-esque attitude is completely out of place. I have already found lots of guidance on this site, and am looking to expand my knowledge, skills, and perhaps even my circle of acquaintances.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Regards,

-Stefan

"Very interesting photograph. It seems that you wished to convey meaning, and it does convey meaning to me. It sort of asks/answers "What is it to be a man?""

"Incidentally, it drives my wife mad that I very much avoid rating/evaluating things. I don't know why, but I just relish being or savoring things. To rate the bite of food, the work of art, the outing, the anything just seems to make it more…"

"I've always had difficulty with such questions, as I really dislike rating/categorizing such. I somehow feel that doing so decreases from the value of other events. Additionally, I have a very difficult time comparing events as I feel they are…"
