Hello, fellow AoM readers!  I'm happy to finally be a part of the community.

I'm in the U.S. navy and discovered this site at the recommendation of a friend over the course of deployment in the Middle East last year.  I was gone for 8 months and am very glad to be back home with my wife.  I've lurked around for a while and posted on articles, but I really am looking forward to getting involved in the forums and getting to know you guys.  I like discussing beer, history, and science.  Thanks for having me!

Cheers!
