Hi,

I'm working as a highways inspector and I'm thinking about getting into civil engineering project management. Does anybody have any experience in this, good things, bad things?

Thanks

Good things.... about the same as the inspectors job.
Bad things... dido.

Pain in the ass things.... Murphys law will never fail. Look into critical path thinking and pert charts to get an idea of how to deal with that. In any project management job, Murphy rears his ugly head. Dido for any government job. You're talking about combining the two.
