Hey guys, long time no see,

Recently I've been thinking about joining a fraternal guild/members club here in the UK (specifically Edinburgh) but the choices are extremely narrow. Having done a bit of research it seems there are dozens of options in the US, but here there are only 2/3 (Freemasons (no idea how to join them, invite only?), Royal Scots Club, Royal Oversees League).

Anybody have any recommendations/advice? Or could anyone share their experience of fraternal lodges within the UK?

Thanks in advance,

Lack of family during the holiday season

How does one cope with being alone during the holidays. My parents live in Florida. Close relatives are either dead or living several states away. The dream of having a family of my own is dead (S.O. doesn't want kids). It's so exhausting trying to meet strangers and trying to assemble a "family" out of them. See More
