For years I've said I want to travel, but I've never done anything about it. This year, that changes. I'm going to go somewhere. I don't know where yet. Where is a good first place for a 24 year old to go when they leave the motherland? I'm going to be on a budget, I'm not sure how much yet, so where could I go for a reasonable amount of money on a 3-5 day trip?
If I could go anywhere, I'd go to Europe, probably Spain. However, I'm thinking it's probably cheaper to go to Mexico or Central America as a first trip, especially given that I live in Texas and it's like RIGHT there. But I'm open to suggestions.
SERIOUSLY DUDE !!
Hows the job hunting going
Did you re enrole at collage
Have you sorted your girl trouble
What mode of transport did you settle on
And there are so many more things that you need to sort out
I was kind of thinking the same thing.
I've always wanted to go to Scotland...
Take a cruise out of Galveston, probably down to Mexico...Cancun and Cozumel are inexpensive and fun.
Alternately, Oklahoma is only a few hours' drive away from you, and it's like a whole other planet! Be sure not to wear anything orange while you're up there.
But, seriously Viktor, you seem fractured. Almost like you're bouncing from idea to idea to idea.
Before you go traveling, wouldn't it be prudent to get a few other things in order, first?
Why not orange?
Texas Oklahoma rivalry.
The better question is why in the hell would anyone want to go to Oklahoma. They put up a sign saying that you are leaving Texas so that anyone who can read will turn around.
There's a nice casino in Durant, just over the border. Think of it as MonteCarlo for rednecks.
If I'm looking for ways to throw away money a casino probably will not be on my list of top 10 ways. It is possible to stay in Texas, throw money away and not have to go into Oklahoma. I would rather stick it in some chicks underwear (something I have not done and don't see my self ever doing), use the cash to light my cigar, make paper airplanes and throw them off a tall building or stuff $1 bills into my tighty whities (I don't own any but I would buy them for this purpose) and let some college girls take turns fishing the bills out of my pants. To each his own.
I spent years living in Oklahoma. I'm not going there for vacation.
Candida for a first trip.
If you go to Europe save up for 10 days+. I did a month in England/Scotland during one summer. Once you pay for the transport extra days are not that expensive.
If you go to Europe look up hostels, they are cheap, safe and designed for youth to travel and see the world on a dime.
I agree with the rest, Mr. Franklin, you are all over the place. This will not move you forward in life. May I suggest you read and do the following posts. After this, let us know what your values, goals and ideas, we can help you review your plan in light of our collective wisdom.
I'll check it out.
