For years I've said I want to travel, but I've never done anything about it.  This year, that changes.  I'm going to go somewhere.  I don't know where yet.  Where is a good first place for a 24 year old to go when they leave the motherland?  I'm going to be on a budget, I'm not sure how much yet, so where could I go for a reasonable amount of money on a 3-5 day trip?

If I could go anywhere, I'd go to Europe, probably Spain.  However, I'm thinking it's probably cheaper to go to Mexico or Central America as a first trip, especially given that I live in Texas and it's like RIGHT there.  But I'm open to suggestions.

Victor you ask this question like its a weekly ritual , you have also been given so much great advice but I suspect you have discarded it all .
Did you go and talk to a recruiter ?
What was the outcome ?
Have you done any research as to a healthy diet ?
Do you know what empty carbs are ?
Have you started any kind of fitness routine yet ?
Have you employment yet ?
There's no master plan to a great life . If I can share with you my own experiences of living a good life and that's to set small achievable goals , I got a job then saved for a car then a house , my holiday trips were as a group at a sport I played so it was in a bus but it was still a break and out of my comfort zone . When I decided to get very fit last year I started going to the gym , that led to eating better and knowing what to eat and believe me it's a mine field and your friends will not understand that you can meet them at the pancake parlour but you won't eat any . When you start looking and feeling good , good things start happening , girls star flirting with you other people want to initiate a conversation with you .
But none of this will happen sitting on your ass asking the same shit day in day out , you have to just take the first step , beg a friend to help , put the challenge out there to someone to hold your hand but for your own sake step up .

That is a good point.  A lot of people who care enough to offer thoughtful ideas and opinions like to know how their ideas went even if they are rejected.  Just checking in on old posts to let the people who discussed the issue with the person is a good and needed thank you to the participants of the discussion.

I posted on this thread just that and you replied "I''ll check it out"

Check it out and do it.  It's mostly  Brett McKay's idea and good thought out work.
