It seems that pants over the last few years have had decreasing room in the crotch. I have tried to buy relaxed fit pants, but it seems like the manufacturer maintains the same distance between the top of the pants and the crotch.
Has anyone else had the same issue? If so, what pants have worked for you? I've considered BDUs but don't know of anywhere around me that sells them so that I could try them on.
Columbia cargo pants work?
Thanks for the help.

Ballroom jeans. hidden gusset of fabric at crotch give room to squat and everything. Ordered some of their stuff...not been disappointed. Good products, if a little over-priced.

Permalink Reply by Daniel Martin Sturman on January 17, 2013 at 1:23pm I own 6 or 7 of the same exact style of pants. They are Dickies industrial pleated front comfort waist pants. Mine are all navy blue. They have a crotch gusset, and have good range of motion. You can stick your fist in your pocket. The comfort waist is good because it can cinch in as well as out. I catch hell buying pants. They always seem to be made in Noassistan for guys who never put anything in their pockets and evidently are hung like a Ken doll.
Permalink Reply by Erg on January 22, 2013 at 12:43pm I doubt it was the posters intent, but I kinda feel like anyone complaining about crouch room in their pants is in the same rhetorical box as the guy who is complaining about how his wallet isn't big enough to hold all his hundred dollar bills :)

Wrangler makes a brand of jeans, called Riggs WorkWear, which includes a crotch gusset. One of the most comfortable designs I've worn. They're also available in a heavy cotton twill fabric.
Permalink Reply by Jordan Davis on January 29, 2013 at 3:57pm Not my intent, but thanks for throwing this out there. Just noticing that most of the time suit pants have ample room while a normal pair of jeans or slacks don't.
