What are your favorite TV shows?

#1.  Friday Night Lights- the only show on TV where the men aren't bafoons and the kids aren't in charge.  I'm so tired of "dumb man" shows that I hardly watch TV anymore.  It's the only network show I watch.

#2.  Deadliest Warrior- Just fascinating.  The ultimate MAN show.

#3.  Dahani Tackles the World - Americans tend to think that American Football is unrivaled in brutality and sheer physicality...here's an NFL linebacker who gets his butt kicked playing rugby, african wrestling or participating in the Highland games.

My only problem with the show is that they don't take in to consideration training or philosophy, only weapons. No way would that weenie Indian dude with the floppy whip-sword going to beat a Roman Centurian. I also think that the Japanese gansters would have demolished the mafia.

But I love to see how ancient weapons worked.
sorry, but i think the yakuza v. mafia episodes was one of the few good ones.

jesse james v. capone episode was total crap.
Do they have to be current series?
If not, then Seinfeld, Psych, Firefly, not necessarily in that order.
Out of current series, I like Psych and Mad Men.
Just about anything that comes on USA Network, and is one of their originals (Royal Pains, Burn Notice, Psych, etc.).
Doctor Who
Top Gear
NCIS franchise of shows
Monday evenings on CBS (How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, Big Bang Theory)
DVR
Are we talking favorite TV shows that are on right now? Or favorite all-time TV shows?
TV shows on right now. Looking for something worthwile to watch.
Ah, in that case:

1. Mythbusters is awesome.

2. South Park is hit or miss lately, but when it's good, it's really good.

3. The Big Bang Theory is funny if you can get all the nerdy references.

4. Other than that, baseball. Go Red Sox!
I'll second Hockey Night in Canada, especially now during play-off season. Other then that, for stuff currently on the air: Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, White Collar, Burn Notice, Justified, and Treme are some of the best things on TV. I also enjoy Fringe, House, and The Bridge.

Stuff that is over: Firefly, Deadwood, Oz, and the greatest TV show ever in history: The Wire.
Deadwood will go down in history as the greatest series with the absolute WORST finale.
I'm still only on Season One actually, but really enjoying it.
Woops! Sorry.
Quite alright, I hadn't said anything and I already heard that most people disliked the ending.

Secular Manhood vs Christian Manhood

I have been in pursuit of the answer for "what is manhood?" since I got married a few years ago.  Prior to my marriage I was heavily enveloped in the New Age movement and believed humans were essentially good and could conquer their baser nature through their own efforts.  I believed we could influence our reality, using our wills to force change into our lives.  I married into a Baptist family, and while that was not the reason for my conversion to Christianity, the exposure certainly helped…See More
