Favorite Drug Store Fragrance
At the pharmacy in town, they sell Aqua Velva Classic, Old Spice Original, Brut, and the typical shitty Axe variants. I'm torn. I like the smell of Old Spice, but it seems to disappear quickly. Aqua Velva smells great and lasts longer, and is also recommended on my shaving soap (William's Mug), and Brut claims to be "the Essence of Man." Does anyone else use drug store aftershave? Or do I stand alone in cheapness? If you do use it, what's your favorite?

I buy Pinaud Bay Rum at the Walgreens up the block. I'll admit that I was slightly pleased to find it had a following on AOM, because nobody I know uses it. I used to wear Brut, but to be honest, that stuff ranks up there with gasoline in the odor department. Old Spice does wear off fast, and Aqua Velva can get funky if you mix it with the wrong body wash, soap, or hair product.

Pinaud Clubman and Old Spice are two cheaper fragrances that I enjoy. And I've started getting CVS spice aftershave instead of Old Spice because I've found that the former smells better and more like what Old Spice used to smell like.

British Sterling - one of my favorites. Old Spice Original is hard to beat.
Not a drug store brand but does anyone remember Amway's brand, Tonga? It came in a large bottle shaped like a tiki idol. My dad called it fufu juice.

I use Gillette Cool Wave. Once my current bottle runs out I'm going to try the Col's Bay Rum.

I thought I was the only guy who used Pinaud Clubman. I had a bottle that lasted for about 2 years, but did not restock because it was so strong. On a day to day, I just use deodorant and a shave balm on days when I shave (every other).
I do like the Pinaud Clubman Talcum Powder. It goes on my feet and twigs and berries after the shower. Smells pleasant and doesn't have that menthol sting that Gold bond has.
