Is there a rule for how many buttons in an overcoat should you button? Like with suit jackets, if you have two buttons you should only buttom the upper one and so forth. I have a chesterfield overcoat with four buttons, what gives?

     If there is one thing my wife and I disagree on, it's when our two boys(ages 7 and 4) can have some independence.
